AVALANCHE - KHALTSHA CYCLING TEAM

With a vision of creating and encouraging cycling beyond a mode of transport, Sindz opened the Khaltsha Cycles Bike shop in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. This cultural hub has been extremely well received, and he intends to grow the idea into other township communities around the Cape.

With his effervescent energy, it’s no wonder that Sindile has become somewhat of a local cycling celebratory. Inspired by his entrepreneurial father who ran a number of successful businesses, Sindile looks to him whenever he’s going through a difficult situation. He also has his father to thank for teaching him to ride a bicycle, aged 5. By the time he was 10, Sindz was using his new BMX as a mode of transport to commute between home and the store. More importantly, the BMX gave him the freedom of exploring his community and making new friends.

It’s this same community freedom that Sindz experiences when he rides laps around Khayelitsha and Mandela Park. “People in my community love cycling and it’s always nice to get cheers from them when I’m on my bike”, he comments.

Sindz feels an absolute honour to represent the Cadence Nutrition brand. He has identified this as an opportunity to educate his community on the importance of good nutrition. He has found benefit from this nutrition knowledge and can’t wait to share the delicious taste of his CarboFuel Red Berry, Apple Pie Balanced Balanced Energy and Vanilla Revive.
